hi! i’m orla…

the owner of Salve&Sanguine.

I have always loved the magic of second-hand fashion, the adventure of scouring the racks for the perfect pieces and the stories those pieces tell. However, so many people I know, who also loved the sustainability and uniqueness of second-hand fashion, felt they didn't have the time or the eye to find the pieces they loved and so resorted to fast-fashion to bring their style to life.

I decided I wanted to do something to help.

I want to help you find your perfect second-hand wardrobe all while fighting against fast-fashion and how it's taking advantage of our environment, factory workers and the insecurities of consumers.

So, why me?

From a young age I chose fashion as my vessel for self expression, making it no surprise when I chose to get my degree in Fashion Design and Communications from Leeds Arts University.

My degree afforded me the opportunity to work with incredible independent designers such as Jennifer Rothwell (Ireland) and Carla Grima (Malta), as well as organisations such as Graduate Fashion Week. This experience gave me invaluable insight into many different areas of the fashion industry. But, I found the most joy in my work as a stylist, first with Leeds RAG Fashion Show and later independently when styling and directing magazine shoots for publications such as Gallery Magazine, as it went hand in hand with my desire to help people feel good about themselves.

All of this leaves me uniquely positioned to bring your vision for your personal style to life and I can’t wait to get started.
